Baird. p 98 Georgia In the name of God Amen Franklin County I Josiah Hix being of Sound mind and memory though weak of Body have concluded to make to make this my last will and Testament - Item It is my will that I commend in the first place my spirit to God through the atoning merits of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to the God that gave it - Item It is my wish to be buried according to Christian burial in decency & order Item It is my will that the property both real and personal that belongs to me remain in the care and under the controll of my beloved wife Elizabeth Hix until my youngest child comes to the p 98a age of twenty one years. Also the household and Kitchen furniture, goods and Chattels in anywise appertaining to my estate - Item It is my will and pleasure that after the youngest child comes of the age of twenty one years then and in that [-----] event my property and its increase to be divided equally amongst my wife and children giving to her her choice of Dower or a Childs part as she may think proper to select - Item It is my will and I do hereby appoint Robert AR Neal my Executor to this my last Will and Testament - In testimony Whereof I hereunto make my mark and Cause my seal to be affixid this fifth day of November in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty three.
