Sims, Will 163 State of Georgia Franklin County In the name of God amen Thomas B. Sims of Said State and County being afflicted but of Sound mind and memory knowing that I must shortly depart this life. deem it Right and proper both as respects my family and myself that I Should make a disposition of the property with which a kind providence has blessed me. I do therefore make this my last will and testament hereby revoking and annulling all others by me heretofore made. First I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner suitable to my Circumstances and Condition in life. my soul I trust shall return to rest with God who gave it as I hope for Salvation through the merits and atonement of the blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Secondly I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay by my Executor herein after named and appointed. Thirdly I give bequeath and devise to my beloved wife Arreannah Sims for and during her natural life or widowhood or until my youngest Child hereinafter named becomes to the age of Sixteen years all that Lot of landSituated lying and being in the 215th district in Little Eastanollee Creek joining the lands of Cleveland and Smith in the S.E. and South by the Estate west by Mosley North by Clark Said Lands being in the North Side of the road known as the line containing four hundred & Thirty acres more or less at at which time as above mention the above described lands to be sold and the money equally divided by my Executor between my beloved wife Aramenia Sims and nine Children Viz Martha J. Gilbert wife of O.P. Gilbert and her bodily heirs, if she ever has any if not then distribution share belongs to her to be equally divided among her brothers and sisters Florence E. Sims, Allis L. Sims, Jas R. Sims, Mama E Sims Dosia A. Sims (next page 164) and Mary L. Sims which is my youngest Child I also give and bequeath to my beloved wife in the same manner the farming utencils used on and belonging to the farm and stock of all kinds Fourthly I give and bequeath to my bloved (sp) for and during her natural life only, my household and kitchen furniturefor herself individually. Fifthly I desire and direct that all the lands I own on the South side of the line road adjoining Stenecypher (sp?) Maldwin & Mosley be sold by my Executor public or privately as they may think best and the proceeds thereof together with all the other money due me when collected by my Executers to be lined out and the proceeds to be applied to educate my three youngest children, when the youngest child becomes to the age of sixteen the reaminder to be equally divided as stated in the third article. Sixly And I hereby appoint my trustworthy friend Richard D Low Guardian of my Said Eight minor Children named in the third pt of this will.
