I Elisha Wilkinson of the State of Georgia and County of Franklin, being in perfect mind and memory, thanks be given to the Almighty, and calling to mind the mortality of the mortal life, that is appointed for all men once to die, I do make and ordain this my last will and Testament, as follows-- First I recommend my soul unto the hands of Almighty God that gave it, and my body to be buried in a decent and Christian manner, at the discretion of my Executors, hoping at the general Resurrection to be saved with an Everlasting Salvation - 2nd I will and bequeath unto my three sons, Elisha Wilkinson, Signal Wilkinson and Thomas Wilkinson, one bed & furniture a piece, and to my daughter Fanny Wilkinson one bed, four bed quilts, four counter pins and one bed cover, and one sorrel colt, on small Trunk, one dozen plates, one dish, one set of cups & saucers, one side saddle, and one stand of curtains - 3rd I will & bequeath unto my three sons, Elisha Wilkinson, Signal Wilkinson and Thomas Wilkinson the tract of land whereon I now live, to be equally divided among them at my death. 4th I will and bequeath unto my wife Lucy Wilkinson all my personal property, and one negro man by the name of John, and one lot of land N. 1045. fifth District and first section, which property is to be at her own disposal at her death - 5th I will and bequeath unto my wife Lucy Wilkinson one negro woman by the name of Lizzy and one negro boy by the name of Ben, to be equally divided at her death among my seven children as follows Polly Bond, Elisha Wilkinson, Patsy Mitchell, Sophia Edwards- Signal Wilkinson, Thomas Wilkinson and Fanny Wilkinson - Lastly I nominate and appoint my wife Lucy Wilkinson, and my son Elisha Wilkinson Executors of my last will and Testament, revoking and disannulling all other wills heretofore made, and I do confirm this to be my last will & Testament-- In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this 31st day of August Eighteen hundred and thirty three - Elish Wilkinson {Seal} Johnson Wiley his Westly X Wiley mark her Linny X Wiley mark James Stovall J.P.
