(Nellie's Chapel) Fulton County. Below are two separate transcriptions of the burials at Nellie’s Chapel Cemetery. While considered a church cemetery, it was primarily a Thompson Family burial ground. The first transcription presented was done by Steven K. Bramlett on June 25, 2005. The second presented was done on Dec. 4, 1954 by Atlanta Historian, Franklin Garrett. The main portions of Garrett cemetery transcription of all cemeteries within a 30-mile radius of Atlanta were done in 1933. This particular cemetery must have been missed by him the first time around. The 2005 transcription shows some missing and some that were unreadable. The usefulness of the Garrett Transcription is that it shows the names that were readable then but not readable now making it a wonderful conformation tool. Without the Garrett transcription, some of the burials would have been lost. June 25, 2005-inscription by Steven K. Bramlett. Westside of Cemetery. Nellie M. Thompson Born Mar. 5, 1865.
