Atlanta Evening News January 8, 1907
For the first time in Atlanta's history, a number of ladies were present last
evening at the inauguration of a mayor, and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the
exercises.

Among those noticed were:  Mrs. W. R. Joyner, Mrs. Filmore Tison, wife of the
chief of the Louisville fire department, Mrs. W. D. Ellis, Sr., Mrs. Ralph Van
Landingham, Mrs. Press Huddleston, Mrs. C. R. Setze, Mrs. W. B. Cummings and her
sister, Mrs. Cummings, and the Misses Joyner.
