D. Moore to Become Assistant General Freight Agent, a New Position. Four changes, effective January 1, in which two new offices are created and two new positions receive a change of the name, will appear on the circular of the traffic department of the Atlanta, Birmingham and Atlantic railroad to be issued Thursday. This information was given out Wednesday morning from the office of J. R. Rowland, general traffic manager. J. C. Ligeour, commercial agent at Fitzgerald, Ga., goes out January 1 to be succeeded by George A. Cartwright as division freight agent Mr. Fitzgerald. Mr. Cartwright comes to the South from New York. R. D. Moore, at present chief clerk to the general freight agent, is elevated to the newly created position of assistant general freight agent. Who will succeed Mr. Moore as chief clerk has not been made public. George Land, now commercial agent with headquarters in Atlanta, becomes division freight agent, simply a change of name in the office. Mr. Land will remain in Atlanta and his duties will be the same as heretofore. W. I. Middleton, traveling freight agent with headquarters in Atlanta, goes to Macon as commercial agent, a newly created place. The Atlanta, Birmingham and Atlantic expects to make a vigorous campaign for business out of Macon beginning January 1.
