Col. W.M. Scott Is Congratulated On 86th Birthday

Colonel W.M. Scott, head of the Scott Realty Company and active in Atlanta 
business for 47 years, received the congratulations of his friends Monday upon 
his eighty-six birthday.  

He was at his office early, transacting business throughout a busy day.  He 
appeared as healthy and active as a man of 50, Colonel Scott is a veteran of 
the civil war, having served with the Thirteenth Wisconsin Infantry throughout 
the War Between the States.  He came to Atlanta 47 years ago, entering the 
mercantile business, but later went into the real estate field.

Colonel Scott has been chairman of the Fulton County Board of Registrars for 
20 years.  One of his first acts on his birthday Monday was to meet with the 
board to revise the county registration lists.
