                         GEORGIA'S PUBLIC SCHOOLS
     The public schools of Georgia are making wonderful strides, and the report
of School Commissioner Glenn will be the most complete ever issued by this
department. It will be much fuller than last year's report, and the wonderful
growth of the public schools of each county will be handled minutely. The report
shows a very marked increase in attendance, as indicated by the following
figures. In 1895 there were in public schools 366,937 pupils; whereas the report
for 2896 ahows an enrollment of 383,513, with two counties more to hear
from,which will perceptibly swell these figures.
