B. Byron was bound over to the state courts under $500 bond for assault with intent to murder by Recorder Broyles Tuesday afternoon. Byron was the elevator man at The Constitution building who severely cut J. F. Morey during a fight in the elevator about ten days ago. The trial lasted about an hour and the evidence was that Byron had knoced Morey to the floor of the elevator by hitting him on the head with a piece of iron, had tried to run the car up and mash his head between the floor and the elevator and severely cut him with a pocket knife.
