B. Bankston were each presented with handsome jewels at the meeting of their lodges Tuesday night. As retiring past master of Georgia lodge, Mr. Burkert was presented with a handsome gold watch and Mr. Bankston was presented with a past master's jewel. Georgia lodge, meeting at the Masonic temple, elected the following officers for the ensuing year: David E. Ashby, worshipful master; William W. Kindall, senior warden; Thomas A. Clayton, junior warden; Dr. M. Z. Crist, secretary; Hugh L. McGee, treasurer; W. A. Gheesling, tyler; Guy Thurman, senior deacon; W. F. Slaton, Jr., junior deacon; Steve R. Johnston, senior steward; George S. Obear, Jr., junior steward; P. M. Hubbard, organist; W. H. Patterson, A. P. Tripod, Amos Fox, member of board of joint relief; George F. Eubanks, Masonic temple director. Battle Hill lodge elected the following officers: T. F. McGahee, worshipful master; P. S. Pause, senior warden; Walter Daniel, junior warden; Ralph Cooper, senior deacon; J. W. Harper, junior deacon; J. A. Massey, senior steward; Fred Sheats, junior steward; A. A. Stovall, tyler; J. E. Garrison, secretary; M. M. Anderson, treasurer, and S. A. Chafin, chaplain.
