Crawford Jackson, prominent Methodist minister, and secretary of the Juvenile Protective association, who was bound over to the grand jury Saturday afternoon by Justice of the Peace Gerideau, ont he complaint of Miss Louvenia Durden, his pretty young stenographer, has called a special meeting of the committee in charge of the association for 4 o'clock this afternoon in his offices in the Third National Bank building. AT this time he will lay before them a complete account of his alleged improper conduct toward his stenographer, who charges that he kissed her and offered her a drink, and will ask a full vindication at their hands. "I have invited these men of my own accord to meet with me, and see that justice is done me." Rev. Mr. Crawford said last night that he had done nothing improper. "Did you kiss your stenographer, and clasp her to your breat?" he was asked. "I made no improper advances," he answered. "But did you kiss her?" "No; just a short while ago, Thursday, in fact," was the question. "I did nothing improper," he replied. "I am fully confident that I shall be acquitted," he said to a Constitution reporter Sunday night. "In that case I shall continue my juvenile work most assuredly, if it is the will of the executive committee of the assocation." "In case that you are not acquitted, what will you do?" "Well, really, I cannot say, but I am confident that I shall be acquitted. I really care to say nothing further, as all that bears on the case will be placed before our committee this afternoon."
