No dates, but likely from a Fitzgerald, GA newspaper. Miss McLeod Engaged To Mr. Emmons Of interest to a wide circle of friends is the announcement made today by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. McLeod of the engagement of their daughter, Victoria, to Robert Edwin Emmons of Atlanta. The marriage will be an event of the early fall. The bride-elect is the youngest daughter her sisters being Mrs. G. C. Lynch, of Atlanta, and Mrs. John W. Scally, Jr., of Tampa. Her only broter is Thomas E. McLeod Jr. of Atlanta. On her paternal side, Miss McLeod is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Wyley McLeod, of Vidalia, and her maternal grandparents are Clem Power Davis of Americus, the late Victoria Browning Davis. Miss McLeod received her early education in the Fitzgerald public schools and upon graduation completed her studies at the Southern Business University in Atlanta. For the last three years she has been employed by Westinghouse Electric Supply Company. She is an active member in the ETA Chapter of Tau Beta Phi, national business girl's sorority. Mr. Emmons is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. O. o. Emmons, of Memphis. His sisters are Miss Mary Louise Emmons, of Washington D. C., and Miss Virginia Emmons, of Memphis. His paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Emmons, of Corinth, Miss. On is maternal side he is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Babb, of Corinth. The bridegroom-elect attended Memphis public schools and received his degree in electrical engineering fro the Georgia School of Technology. He is a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Upon graduation in 1938, he became associated with the Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company in Pittsburgh, and now holds a position with the same firm in Atlanta.
