The Georgia Enterprise
     Monday morning when Mittie McLeavey, a white woman living on Cleveland 
Avenue awoke, she found her 6-months-old baby dead in bed. She could not 
account for its death, and for a while there were rumors of foul play, as the 
babe was apparently well the night before. Coroner Rogers summoned a jury and  
held an inquest. No evidence could be found that indicated foul play and the 
jury returned a verdict that the child came to its death from natural causes.
