Lavonia Times & Gauge April 11, 1930
Jake Abelson, popular hotel man has just completed the new Hotel Jefferson 
at the corner of Pryor and Alabama Streets, to supply the need in Atlanta for a 
first class, medium priced hotel.  This modern fireproof, elaborately furnished 
Hostelry is centrally located and represents an investment of a quarter million 
dollars.  It contains 125 guest rooms, each with private bath and the rates of 
$1.50 to $2.50 should appeal to local people visiting Atlanta either for business 
or pleasure.  Hotel Jefferson opened February 1st.
