Pioneer Southern Woman Succumbs

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Boone, beloved Atlantan, who died 
Thursday morning at her residence, 863 Peachtree street, will be held at 10:30 
o’clock this morning from the residence.  Rev. Charles W. McDaniel, assisted 
by Rev. F.C. McConnell, will officiate.  The body will be taken to 
Gainesville, Ga. for interment.

Mrs. Boone, who was 86 years of age, was born and reared in Sussex county, 
Virginia.  Later she made her home in Gainesville and for the past 15 years 
has been a resident of Atlanta.

Mrs. Boone was the widow of the late K.L. Boone, a former well-known 
Atlantan.  She is survived by her three daughters, Mrs. Charles D. Evans, of 
Bessemer, Ala., and Miss Maude and Miss Lizzie Boone of Atlanta, and two sons, 
J.C. and K.L. Boone, both of Atlanta.
