Brown, 40, Leading Lawyer, Dies At Atlanta Lawrenceville, Ga., November 8 – The body of Sam G. Brown, 40, prominent Lawrenceville attorney, who in the recent election made the race for the United States congress from the ninth district against Thomas M. Bell, of Gainesville, reached here tonight from Atlanta. Mr. Brown died at an Atlanta hospital early Saturday morning following a brief illness. He was an alumnus of Emory university and of the Mercer university law school. He had lived here for about 18 years and he was a member of the First Methodist church of Lawrenceville. He is survived by his widow, formerly Miss Lula Bowden, of Columbus; a daughter, Miss Annie Brown; his mother and two brothers, Walter L Brown, of Lawrenceville, and Clarence Brown, of Texas. Funeral services will be held from the First Methodist church here at 3 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. Interment will be at the local cemetery.
