Atlanta Constitution, 12 April 1870
[Two notices.]

DEATH OF OLDEST CITIZEN.-
Patrick Connor [sic], the oldest resident of Atlanta, who settled in this 
vicinity when it was inhabited as Indian, and about the second white man who 
settled here, died on Sunday, at an advanced age, and was buried yesterday 
afternoon, attended by a large concourse of friends.  He was a good citizen and 
a clever gentleman.

Correction.-13 April 1870.
The oldest resident, who died on Sunday, was Patrick Cannon, and not Connor, as 
the types had is yesterday morning.
