    MRS. LAURA SOPHIA RANDALL IS CALLED BY DEATH

    Mrs. Laura Sophia Randall, 85 years of age, beloved Atlanta woman and life-
long resident of Georgia, died at the home of her son, Paul Hill Randall, of 
61 West North Avenue, after a prolonged illness Saturday. Two of her sons, 
William Lane and Paul Hill Randall, are members of the firm Randall Brothers, 
lumber and coal dealers. Both are prominent in the lumber and civic circles of 
the state. Mrs. Randall lived in Vinings, Georgia until recently, when she 
moved here.

    Besides being prominent in Atlanta and Georgia society, Mrs. Randall has 
long been interested in church work. Although she retained her membership at 
the Vinings Methodist Church, she did great good in Atlanta. Funeral services 
will be held at 2 o’clock this afternoon at her son’s residence, the Rev. V. 
L. Bray officiating. Internment will be at her old home, Vinings.

    Besides her two sons already mentioned, she is survived by another son, 
Harvey Gatewood Randall founder of Randall Brothers of Twila, Kentucky, two 
daughters, Miss Mary Randall and Mrs. A. H. Freeman, and several grandchildren.

    Awtry & Lowndes have charge arrangements.

Laura Sophia CHEWNING Randall was the daughter of William Fulcher & Lorena 
Sophia LANE Chewning; Granddaughter of Jesse Jr. & Rhoda JOLLY Lane.
