COFER WILL BE HELD TODAY. The funeral of Rev. M. J. Cofer, business manager and assistant editor of The Wesleyan Christian Advocate, who died suddenly in his office in the Wesley Memorial church building last Saturday morning, will be held from the First Methodist church this morning at 10 o'clock. Immediately after the services the body will be taken to Gainesville, Ga., for interment. Dr. W. P. Lovejoy will conduct the funeral services, and will be assisted by Dr. W. V. Lovettt and Dr. John D. Hammond, of Augusta, Ga., all of whom were life-long friends of Mr. Cofer. Seats will be reserved in the church for all local and visiting ministers and the confederate veterans. The following gentlemen will act as pallbearers: George Muse, E. V. Carter, H. W. W. Palmer, John Manget, Dr. Stewart Roberts, Asa G. Candler, John J. Eagan, Dr. Floyd W. McRae, W. L. Peel and Marion Jackson. They will meet at Barclay and Brandon's chapel at 8:45 o'clock this morning. The following ministers will act as honorary escort: Rev. S. A. Harris, Rev. C. B. Wilmer, Rev. S. T. Wiggins, Rev. W. R. Hendrix, Rev. S. J. Fleming, Rev. R. O. Flinn, Rev. S. R. Belk. Rev. J. F. Turner, Rev. T. W. Daniel, Rev. David Marx, Rev. John D. Robbins and Rev. W. T. Schaeffer.
