Craven, Alfred Bona “A. B.”
 
	Mr. Alfred Bona "A.B." Craven, age 82, of Lithia Springs, GA, passed 
away Wednesday, April 21, 2004. 

	Mr. Craven was born March 3, 1922, in Haralson County, GA, to the late 
William Bona Craven and Annie Mank Cosby Craven. 

	He was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Mr. 
Craven was a veteran of World War II. He was a general contractor, 
establishing Craven Construction Company in 1947, building in Douglas and 
surrounding counties for over 40 years. Mr. Craven was a member of the First 
Baptist Church of Lithia Springs, serving in various leadership roles and 
numerous building programs. 
	Survivors include wife of 62 years, Addie Lou Grizzard Craven; 
daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Craven Barnett, Douglasville, GA; Cathy 
Craven Garland and husband, Craig, Fayetteville, GA and Claire Craven Brown 
and husband, Glenn, Athens, GA; brother, Millard "Buck" Craven, Tucson, AR; 
grandchildren, Greg Barnett and wife, Amy, Dori Wootan, Lisa Christian and 
husband, Craig, Mary Catherine Brown, and Jamey Brown; and great 
granddaughter, Bethany Barnett.

	Funeral services for Mr. Craven will be held on Friday, April 23, 
2004, at 2:00 p.m., Hightower's Memorial Chapel, with Dr. Marion Beaver 
officiating. Interment will follow in Rosehaven Cemetery. The family will 
receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, April 22, 2004, from 5:00 until 
8:00 p.m. Hightower's Memorial Chapel, Douglasville, GA, is in charge of the 
arrangements.
