OTIS T (THOMAS) EPPS Otis T. Epps, 51, department manager of the Railway Express Company, died Monday morning at a private hospital. He resided at 306 East Hawthorne avenue, College Park, and had been employed by the express company for 28 years. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Miss Elizabeth and Miss Virginia Epps; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Crouch, of Gay, GA, and Mrs. Dewie Couch, of Athens; and a brother, Luther Epps, of Athens. The funeral will be held at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the Spring Hill chapel of H. M. Patterson & Son. Interment will be in the South Bend cemetery on Jonesboro road. Note: World War I draft registration card lists date of birth as December 3, 1881. He is the son of E. O. “Early Oscar” EPPS and his first wife, Susan “Sunnie” Hodges EPPS. E. O. Epps is buried in Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Oconee Co., GA. His brothers Luther and William Henry EPPS are buried in Oconee Hill Cemetery, Clarke Co., GA. Sara Epps Crouch (Mrs. Roy Crouch, Gay, GA) is his sister. E. O. "Early Oscar" Epps and his second wife (Anna Lee Herndon) had three children: Oscar Earl Epps SR, Lucy Belle Epps (Mrs. Dewey COUCH) and Cora Lee Evans (Mrs. Will Evans. Census: In the 1900 GA Census Otis Thomas Epps was living with his family in Oconee Co., GA. Thomas North Epps, head (his grand father), Early Oscar Epps (his father), his step mother Anna Lee Herndon EPPS and other siblings. In the 1910 GA Census Otis Thomas Epps was living with his wife Ellen in South Bend District, Fulton Co., GA In the 1920 GA Census Otis Thomas Epps was living with his wife Ellen and their daughter in South Bend District, Fulton Co., GA.
