She Was Well Known in Atlanta and Had a Host of Friends. Mrs. Mary R. Gardner, wife of Rev. G. E. Gardner, of Gainesville, died at her home in that town early Staurday morning. Mrs. Gardner was a daughter of H. P. Bell and a sister of Colonel George L. Bell, of the federal court, of this city. She was ill but a short time and the first intimation that she was dangerously ill passed to her friends in Atlanta after she had passed away. She was a teacher in the public schools of Gainesvile and was a woman of the highest Christian character and known throughout the town in which she resided for her charity and good works. The interment took place at Cedartown, Ga., Sunday morning.
