James Madison Gibson, 92, of 1574 Elleby Road SE died Sunday at his home. 
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Suzy Griffin Road Church of 
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with burial in the Godbee Cemetery. Mr. 
Gibson, a native of Georgia, was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of 
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He and his wife, the former Mary Evelyn 
Godbee, had been married for 73 years. Survivors include his wife; a son. 
Clovis Lee Gibson, Decatur; three daughters, Mrs. Rulon Mae Phillips, Atlanta, 
Mrs. Nellie Rigsbee, Durham N.C., and Mrs. Minnie Lou Bleckley of Mableton, and 
a brother, William Cleveland Gibson of Atlanta.
