Joel Chandler Harris, widely known as "Uncle Remus" in his quaint writings, 
died last Friday in Atlanta. His demise will be sincerely mourned in many a 
Southern home and many of the mourners will be little children who have 
enjoyed his stories of "Brer Rabbit" and his friends.
