Hill In Rest In West View. Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Gordon Hill, of Atlanta, widely known and prominent, who died Friday, were held Saturday afternoon at West End Baptist church. The interment was at West View cemetery. At the time of her death Mrs. Hill was 84 years of age. She was the daughter of William L. Gordon, of Griffin, and was the niece of Colonel John Dooly, a famous revolutionary leader. She was born October 23, 1825, in Griffin, where she grew to young womanhood and married E. P. Hill, who later became a captain of artillery in the confederate army, and fought in a number of the major engagements of the civil war. Mrs. Hill was the mother of Malvern Hill, well known Atlanta attorney, who died a few years ago. She was the oldest member of the West End Baptist church and the deacons acted as pallbearers at the funeral.
