HILL-Mr. Samuel K. Hill was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, January 24th, 1814; married Miss Elizabeth L. Connally, of Murray county, Georgia, November 30th, 1841, and died at East Point, Georgia, where he has lived for 20 or 25 years, on March the 2d, 1880. Mr. Hill was a worthy citizen and useful man. He was not satisfied to be unemployed, but while able he would be doing something; if nothing else he would fix up and improve his lot on which he lived. He was no idler but tried to make an honest living. But best of all, he was a Christian, being satisfactorily converted some three years ago. Since that time he has lived a Christian life, not only religious at church but also at home, having erected a family altar where he offered his morning and evening prayers. Thus he lived and thus he passed away, leaving a widow and children who mourn their loss much. May God sustain the heart-stricken widow and bereaved children and bring all to heaven when this life is over. L. P. N. March 6th, 1880.
