JOSEPH P. JORDAN DIED IN ATLANTA ON FRIDAY

Mr. Joseph P. Jordan, son of Mrs. M. A. Jordan, died in Atlanta last Friday 
afternoon, following an operation performed Tuesday of that week. He had 
resided in that city for several years but was born and reared in the northern 
part of Chambers county. Interment was in Atlanta on Sunday afternoon. The 
funeral was attended here by Mr. Cumbee Jordan and Leon Jordan. The mother and 
Mr. Glenn Jordan were prevented by illness from going to Atlanta.  The 
deceased was well known throughout this section. He was full of energy and had 
made good headway in the business world. He was a member of the Baptist church 
since childhood. He is survived by his wife and two children, the oldest  
being married. The deceased's widow is reported to be in a serious condition, 
her health having been bad for several months.
