Langley, Dead C.L. Langley, veteran newspaper man, and identified with newspaper work in Atlanta for the past 11 years, died Friday morning at his residence, 124 Olympic Place. He was 68 years old. Mr. Langley’s death came after a rally which had given friends renewed hope for his recovery. Although he had been seriously ill for some time, a turn for the better immediately preceded his death. Mr. Langley was born in Telapluma, California and lived the greater part of his life there. He moved to Atlanta about 12 years ago and a year later became connected with the circulation department of The Atlanta Georgian. He held the position at the time of his death. Mr. Langley is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Vernon A. Shearer, and two grandsons, Langley and Vernon Shearer, Jr. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by A.S. Turner, undertaker.
