Little Lizzie Belle McCroskey, daughtre of Mr. M. D. L. McCroskey, was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on the 1st of September, 1869, and died in LaFayette, New York State, on Sunday, the 3d of April, 1870. There is not much to say of one who escaped the troubles of life so early, but the patience of this darling little sufferer made an impression of grown people which they will not soon forget. The quiet pathos of the tones of this precious child saying, "Mamma-baby!" was very touching. The Heavenly Father holds her in His arms of everlasting love. The Southern friends of the parents of this child will be gratified to know, that in their bereavement, they have the sympathy of many in this city. The funeral services were conducted by Dr. Deems, the Pastor of "The Church of the Strangers."
