The young boy and his mother, Mrs. George T. Mitchell, were crossing at the corner of Main street and Cleveland avenue, in East Point, late Tuesday afternoon, when he was struck by an automobile driven by J A Chambless of Luthersville. At first it was not thought that the boy was injured seriously. He was rushed to Grady hospital, where medical aid was administered. The motorist, Mr. Chambless, was arrested by Chief of Police Joe Miller, of East Point, but was later released on a $25 bond. The boy died at Grady hospital Wednesday morning shortly after 1 o'clock. Chief Miller immediately after the news of the boy's death wired Chambless to return to East Point. Surviving are the child's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George T. Miller (sic), of East Point, and one brother, George Miller (sic), 5 years of age. The boy will be buried in Mount Carmel cemetery.
