Mitchell, son of Hon. I.S. Mitchell, a former alderman of Atlanta, and one of the most prominent young men of the city, was drowned at Beaulieu near Savannah yesterday afternoon. Mr. Mitchell was in Savannah attending a house party at the home of A.A. DeLoach. He went out bathing with a party, and ventured out too far from land, when he was caught in a strong current and went under before assistance could reach him. The body was removed a few hours after.
