Mr. Savin, of 1014 Katherwood Drive, SW, was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Kirkwood Lodge No. 548 F&AM. He was a past worthy patron of Kirkwood Capter No. 233, OES. A native of Charlotte, NC, he had lived in Atlanta since 1913. He retired from Monogram in 1957 after 43 years in the motion picture industry. He was a former Atlanta correspondent for Box Office, a daily film newspaper. Mr. Savin and his wife, the former Julia Pace, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1961. The Rev. Louie F. Huckaby will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cascade Hill. Burial will be in Westview. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Emilie Savin Cheek, Atlanta, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Savin Blake, Savannah.
