Smith Fell Dead Just as He Was About to Retire Elberton, Ga., February 20. -- (Special) W.T. Smith, 60 years old, died suddenly at his home last night. He was just retiring when he fell over dead. He leaves a wife and several children. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the civil war, and wore with pride a confederate veteran's badge of honor.
