Ponder Is Claimed By Death. Funeral Services Will Be Held at the Residence This Afternoon. Mrs. Anna M. Ponder, aged 54 years, daughter of the late William A. Norwood, died at her residence, 620 North Boulevard, yesterday morning at 11 o'clock. The deceased was the widow of Captain J. M. Ponder, a well-known citizen of Atlanta up to his death eight years ago. His wife's illness dated from that time. She was a member of the old Norwood family of Culloden, Ga., where her brother, C. M. Norwood, still resides. Her uncle was Judge T. M. Norwood, of Savannah, a United States senator and a prominent lawyer and author. Mrs. Ponder was loved and repected by many close friends. Surviving her, besides her brother, are her daughter, Miss Jennie Ponder, and two sisters, Mrs. W. W. Griffin, wife of the well-known contractor, and Mrs. Oscar Wynn, of Dallas, Texas. Funeral services will be held in the residence at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. The interment will be in West View cemetery.
