MORTUARY.

W. H. Schmidt.

W. H. Schmidt, aged 69 years, died at the Confederate Soldiers' Home yesterday 
afternoon at 5:05 o'clock.  He is survived by one sister, Mrs. A. S. Averett, 
of Madison, Ga., and two brothers, Charles T. and A. H. Schmidt, of Augusta, 
Ga., and Wewahitchkee, Fla., repectively.  The deceased enlisted in company A, 
Sixth Georgia volunteers, in March 1861.  He served through the war, taking 
part in the battles of Seven Pines, Malvern Hill, Fredericksburg and many 
others.  He was paroled in 1865 at Salem, N. C.
