Deceased Was a Resident of Atlanta Ever Since His Early Boyhood. The death of William Henry Sharpe, which occurred at his residence, 263 Rawson street, on Tuesday night at 12:30 o'clock, leaves a vacancy in the galaxy of Atlanta's best citizens. Mr. Sharpe was born in Culloden, Ga., on January 27, 1853, and coming to Atlanta in his early boyhood, became thoroughly identified with the city's interests. As a lad, he attended Trinity Sunday school, hand in hand with his father, W. H. Sharpe, Sr., who never grew weary of "good works." and whose example was reflected in the son, just passed away. The deceased was for twenty-seven years general manager in the southern states for the Wheeler & Wilson Machine Company. When that company merged with Singer, he became identified with the Standard Company, and resigned a short time ago on account of failing health. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bennie Sharpe; one daughter and one son-Miss Annie and Henry Sharpe; also, one sister, Mrs. R. D. Chaney, of Chattanooga. The funeral services were held at the residence at 3:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, and the interment was in West View cemetery.
