Georgia News In Short Story Form

John Thomas, of Atlanta, known to many as “Uncle John,” a widely respected old
darky, have gone, “whar de good darkies go,” having died when in his
ninety-first year.  His death ended a loyal and faithful career.  Throughout the
Civil war he was to be found always at the battle front beside his former
master, the late Tom Swift, who founded the Swift Specific Company.
