Thrash, 44, former Atlantan, who died Thursday at his home in Rome, Ga., were held Saturday afternoon from the chapel of Harry G. Poole, Rev. W.H. Major officiating. Interment was in College Park cemetery. Mr. Thrash was a native Atlantan and had made his home here until three years ago, when he moved with his family to Rome. He had been connected with the Western and Atlantic railroad for more than twenty years and was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He also was a member of the Methodist church and active in its work. Besides his widow, he is survived by a son, Jack Thrash; his mother, Mrs. M.E. Thrash, of Atlanta; a sister, Mrs. H.G. Weekley, of Atlanta, and three brothers, J.B., B.K. and G.E. Thrash, all of Atlanta. Additional Comments: Transcriber's note: I'm not related to or researching the Thrash family.
