R. Turman, William Richard Turman III, Mrs. L. R. Hunter, the families of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Hunter and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hunter, Mrs. S. B. Turman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Markey, East Orange, NJ; Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Turman and family, Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Boykin and family, Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Culpepper and family, are invited to attend the funeral of Miss Laura Belle Turman today, (Sunday), May 21, 1922, at 3 p.m., from the residence, 44 Columbia Avenue, Dr. S. E. Wasson officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and please meet at the residence: Messrs. Frank Harrison, Val Stanton, Barnard Boykin, John Wallace, C. R. Dawson and Dr. Pope Baker. Interment at West View. Barclay and Brandon, morticians. Additional Comments: These Turmans are descendants of Samuel Turman (ca1800-1837) and wife Mary Fortson of Elbert Co and Harris Co., GA, Samuel Turman being the son of George Turman and Vileta Higginbotham, daughter of Rev. Soldier Col. Samuel Higginbotham and wife Jane Satterwhite of Amherst Co., VA and Elbert Co. Mary Fortson was the granddaughter of Rev.Soldier Lt. Thomas Fortson, Jr. (1742- 1824) and wife Rachel Winn of Caroline and Orange Cos., VA and Elbert Co.
