Despondent Mother Commits Suicide

Mrs. Mamie Wellborn, 35 years old, of 75 Lovejoy street, died Monday morning 
shortly after she had been rushed to Grady hospital in a dying condition as 
the result of poisoning she drank at her home.  She was found unconscious on 
the floor of the living room of her home shortly after 10 o’clock by Mrs. 
Dollie Payne, a boarder.

Mrs. Wellborn, according to Mrs. Payne, had been despondent for several weeks, 
due to bad health and unemployment.  She is survived by two daughters, Drew 
Willie and Pauline, and one son, Leon.
