Knapp, which took place at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William M. Bricken, in Inman Park, on Thursday evening. The house was decorated throughout in cut flowers and fern. An altar of palms and chrysanthemums divided the large drawing room midway and stood in a gothic window arch. On either side were a dozen burning tapers. The ceremony itself was very simple and was performed by Rev. Dr. James Horton, S.M., in the presence of relatives and a few intimate friends. Mrs. J.L. Hargrove played the wedding music. “O Promise Me” and the wedding march was played. Miss Rosella Bricken, sister of the bride, entered. She wore a dark blue frock embroidered in bright colors with hat to match and carried Ophelia roses. She was her sister’s only attendant. The bride entered with her father. Her three piece suit was of deep red duvetyn trimmed in fur. Her hat was silver cloth garnished in silver lace with a red velvet rose at the side. She carried bride’s roses and showered valley lilies. They were met at the altar by the groom and his best man, Henry A. Knapp. Mrs. William M. Bricken, mother of the bride, wore a copper colored gown trimmed in copper beads and fur. Mrs. J.F. Knapp, mother of the groom was gowned in a midnight blue dinner dress. Their corsages were of pink roses, violets and lilies of the valley. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bricken, who although not native Atlantans, have here many friends. Miss Bricken attended school in New Orleans and later went to Kentucky, her parents’ home state, and finished her education there, graduating at St. Catherine’s in Springfield, Ky. Mr. Knapp is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Knapp, of Thomasville, Ga. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech of the class of 1921, since which time he has made his home in Atlanta where he and his bride will reside. Mr. and Mrs. Knapp left for their wedding journey through Florida. Additional Comments: Transcriber's note: I'm not related to or researching the Bricken and Knapp families.
