Allison A marriage of great social interest and picturesque beauty was that of Miss Nell Goodwyne and Dr. James M. Allison, which took place Tuesday evening, November 25, at the home of the bride’s aunt, Mrs. John D. Bradley, on Angier Avenue. The bride entered on the arm of the groom to the strains of the bridal chorus from Lohengrin, played by Mrs. Archibald G. Swift. The bride was radiantly lovely in her gown of black satin crepe fashioned on straight lines, with accessories to match. She carried an exquisite bouquet of bride’s roses and valley lilies. The bride threw her bouquet, which was caught by Miss Mary Cochran. Following the ceremony there was an informal reception. Mrs. Bradley was assisted in entertaining by Mrs. W.A. Perkins, Mrs. Archibald Swift and Mrs. O.E. Goodwyne, of Atlanta; Miss Anna Persons, Miss Louise Bogle, Miss Emily Harper and Miss Mary Goodwyne, of Forsyth, Ga. Mrs. Bradley, aunt of the bride, wore a gown of heavily beaded black georgette with a corsage bouquet of Richmond roses. Mrs. Allison, mother of the groom, was gowned in black chiffon trimmed with bands of fur, wearing a corsage bouquet of pink roses. Miss Goodwyne is the only daughter of L.P. Goodwyne, of Forsyth, Ga., who is a prominent business man there. She received her education at the high school and Bessie Tift college. She is a young lady of beauty, culture and refinement and possesses a charming personality. Dr. Allison is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Allison, of Gainesville, Ala., who is an extensive land owner and prominent in the mercantile business. After completing his high school education he spent three years at the University of Alabama, later coming to the Southern Dental College, where he received his degree. Dr. and Mrs. Allison left for a short wedding trip. On returning they will be at home to their friends at 464 North Boulevard.
