Kiser and Mrs. Ivey will be united in marriage. The wedding ceremony will be witnessed by only a few friends and relatives. The Atlanta Constitution Wednesday, December 3, 1890 Page Seven Kiser – Ivey Major M.C. Kiser and Mrs. Sarah Turner were united in marriage At (word blurred) o’clock yesterday afternoon, Major M.C. Kiser and Mrs. Sarah Turner Ivey were united in marriage. The ceremony taking place in the private (word blurred) of Mrs. Ivey at the Bell house. The service was performed jointly by Rev. Dr. Haw(blurred) and Rev. Dr. Morrison and was witnessed by nobody except a few relatives and intimate friends of the contracting parties. Immediately after the ceremony Major and Mrs. Kiser were driven to the elegant home of Major (words faded out) eachtree (Peachtree?). There they were called upon by many friends and hearty were the congratulations extended them. There were no invited guests, but a great number of friends of both (word faded out) during the evening the Bell house boys, and ushers going in a body. The pretty romance of this wedding is the (word faded) lends additional interest to it. Thirty-five years ago Mr. Kiser and Miss Turner were engaged to be married. Circumstances separated them and both subsequently married. Later, (words faded)found themselves free fate threw them together and the old love was renewed. And now, (word faded out) thirty five years, they are Mr. and Mrs. Kiser. Mrs. Kiser is a handsome, dignified lady with many friends in Atlanta who love and admire her. Major Kiser is one of Atlanta’s best and prominent citizens and of Georgia’s (word faded) est men. No man is better known, none is (word faded) generally admired. It is impossible to estimate the worth of a citizen like Major Kiser. (Word faded) ent in everything designed to benefit the (word faded) tive and zealous in every movement in (words faded) he takes part he has undoubtedly been a(words faded) or in the upbuilding of Atlanta. The people appreciate such citizens and many and hearty are the congratulations to him and his bride (words faded) happiness, but no congratulations can be (word faded) and no better wishes can be wished than those of the Constitution.
