The marriage was a quiet event of Tuesday evening, taking place at 6 o’clock at St. James Episcopal church in Richmond, Rev. Peters officiating, in the presence of the immediate family of the bride and a few close friends. Mrs. Thomas is one of the members of Richmond’s social contingent, and a beauty of the brunette type. She is a niece of Charles A. Kessnich, of Atlanta and is descended from a lineage of distinguished ancestors. Mr. Thomas is the second son of Mrs. Irene B. Williams, and a brother of Maurice Thomas, Lansing Lee Thomas and Miss Irene Thomas. Until he left Atlanta several months ago to make his home in Richmond, he was numbered among the most prominent young men in Atlanta’s civic and social life. He is connected with the Nunnally Company, being manager of the Richmond branch. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas left immediately after the ceremony for a short trip to New York, after which they will be home in the Hampton Court apartments in Richmond.
