The occasion was the marriage of Miss Eva M. Lowe, daughter of Mr. J. H. Lowe, of this city to Mr. J. W. Harris of Cartersville. The church was filled with the numerous friends of the contracting parties. The ceremony was conducted by Bishop J. W. Beckwith. The attendants were Mr. M. H. Fields, of Cherokee county, and Miss Bessie Lowe; Mr. Seaton Grantland, of Griffin, and Miss Theresa Griffin, of Columbus; Mr. R. W. Murphy, of Cartersville and Miss Annie Williams, of Montgomery, Ala.; Mr. Clarence F. Lowe and Miss Emilie Hamilton, of Athens; Mr. N. C. Savre of Cartersville and Miss Lula Cunningham. The ushers were General P. M. B. Young, of Cartersville; Major C. W. Henderson and Mr. Wm. N. Dickson. After the ceremony, the bridal party with their attendants repaired to the residence of Mr. James H. Lowe, father of the bride, where the evening was spent in a most enjoyable manner.
