The Atlanta Constitution 6 Aug 1905 McGee-Holliday An interesting event of the past week was the marriage of Miss Bessie McGee to Mr. Thomas P. Holliday, which was solemnized Thursday evening at 9 o'clock at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Ida Baugh McGee, 316 Houston street. The entire lower floor of the house was thrown into one, and decorated with quantities of white hydrangeas and palms. Rev. Mr. Copeland officiated, and during the ceremony the bridal couple stood under a large bell of white hydrangeas. The only attendants were Miss Ruby Baugh, of Gadsden, Ala., maid of honor; Mr. Benjamin McGee and Mr. Robert Holliday, best man. The bride was lovely in her wedding gown of white satin embroidered in white roses. She carried a bouquet of bride roses and entered with her brother, Mr. Benjamin McGee. The maid of honor wore white chiffon, with gloves and girdle of pink, and carried pink roses. After the ceremony an informal reception was held, after which the bride and groom left for a trip to Washington.
