George was married to Miss Clara Lou Phirl, at the residence of the bride's father, in Atlanta, on Wednesday evening, June 3, 1885, by Rev. Dr. Barnett, of the Presbyterian Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. James A. Phirl, formerly of Covington, and is a very intelligent and popular young lady. The groom is the son of Mr. John George, a well known contractor of Atlanta. The bride and groom are both officers in Wenona Temperance lodge of Atlanta. The STAR extends best wishes to the happy young couple, and trusts they may ever be happy as new.
