Shackelford-Rudisail

Mr. and Mrs. C P Shackelford announces the engagement of their daughter, Ona, 
to Dr. Oscar Lee Rudisail, the marriage to take place August 8, at the home of 
the bride's parents.  No cards.

A pretty but quiet wedding was that of Miss Ona Shackelford and Dr. O L 
Rudisail, which took place yesterday evening at 7:30 o'clock at the home of 
the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C P Shackelford, of West Forrest avenue, in 
East Point, in the presence of a large number of intimate friends and 
relatives. 

The color scheme, white, green and pink was effectively carried out in 
detail.  In the parlor, where the ceremony was performed, a beautiful pyramid 
was formed and banked high with palms and ferns.  Tall vases of white and pink 
roses were placed on the mantels and small tables.  The wedding music was 
furnished by an orchestra and Miss Carrie Hengge sang. a group of songs just 
before the bridal party entered. 

The bride and groom were preceded to the parlor by Mrs. T P Hunnicut, who 
acted as matron of honor.  The ceremony was impressively performed by Dr. C W 
Daniel,, pastor of the First Baptist church.  

The bride wore a handsome tailored suit of midnight blue with hat to match.  
Immediately after the ceremony an informal reception was held in the spacious 
dining room.

Dr. and Mrs. Rudisail will take a wedding journey north and will be gone until 
after the first of September.
