The Rev. James G. Patton, Jr., pastor of the church, performed the impressive marriage service, assisted by the Rev. M. D. Smith, friend of the families, in the presence of a large gathering of friends and relatives. A profusion of stately green palms and potted ferns banked the altar, forming a rich background for the wedding party. Tall standards of white dahlias were placed among the green foliage, alternating with cathedral candlebra (sic) holding burning white tapers. Preceding the ceremony Mrs. A. S. Crumley sang several appropriate solos. Miss Louise Parham played the wedding march. Bridal Attendants Mrs. A. P. Butler, a sister of the bride, attended the bride as matron of honor. She wore a gown of Nile green crepe beaded in crystals. Her hat was of black velvet trimmed in black velvet ribbons. Miss Viola Watts, another sister of the bride, was gowned in champagne-colored crepe trimmed in rosebuds in the pastel shades. She wore a hat to match trimmed in a handsome pearl ornament. A graceful scarf of French blue crepe completed her attractive costume. Miss Alberta Steiber, Misses Ada and Mary Frances Warner, sisters of the groom, were a trio of lovely bridesmaids. Miss Steiber wore a gown of black charmeuse with a hat and scarf of French blue crepe. Miss Ada Warner was an attractive figure wearing a gown of turquoise blue crepe trimmed in cream lace. She wore a hat of old rose velvet with scarf to match. Miss Mary Frances Warner's gown was of cocoa-colored crepe beaded in variegated shades. She wore a hat and scarf of tan crepe. The attendants wore corsage bouquets of Ophelia roses and valley lilies. Lovely Bride The bride was given in marriage by her father, W. T. Watts. She wore a smart three-piece suit of taupe colored Poiret twill embroidered in navy blue. Her hat to match was a small model trimmed in navy blue uncurled ostrich. A mink fur neck piece completed her costume. Arthur Warner, a brother of the groom, acted as best man. The groomsmen included DeWitt Watts, bride's brother; Harold Warner, the groom's brother; Ernest Owen and Alvin Butler. Little Miss Catherine Patton, daughter of the pastor, Rev. James G. Patton, Jr., was flower girl. She wore a dainty frock of pink crepe and carried a basket of pink rosebuds. Edwin Watts, small brother of the bride, was ringbearer and wore a suit of white satin. Following the ceremony, Mr. Warner and his bride left for a wedding journey. They will return to Atlanta September 15 and be the guests of their parents for two weeks. They will leave October 1 for Richmond, Va., where they will make their home. The bride is a beloved member of a wide circle of friends. She has taken an active interest in the church, being a valued member of the Christian Endeavor. Mr. Wagner is a popular and well-known Atlantan. He graduated last May from Emory university and will enter the Union Theological seminary at Richmond, Va., on October 1.
