Winn-Upchurch

A large and beautiful wedding yesterday was that of Miss Clara May Winn and 
Mr. Cleve W. Upchurch which took place in the morning at Trinity Methodist 
church. 

A congregation of several hundred guests witnessed the ceremony at 10:30, 
which was performed by Dr. J. W. Lee, who officiated also at the marriage of 
the bride's parents, and a progressive program of organ music was played 
before and during the ceremony.

The bride entered the church with her father, Colonel Courtland S. Winn, and 
they were preceded by the maid of honor, Miss Ina Thomas, of Little Rock.

Mr. McLaughlin was best man, and the ushers were Messrs. F. L. Seely, Lake 
Smith, Buford Goodwin and W. I. Knox. 

The pretty blond bride wore a tailor gown of blue chiffon broadcloth, trimmed 
with velvet bands, and her hat of blue satin was trimmed with Mirabeau 
feathers and a touch of green.  Her bouquet was a shower of bridal roses.

Miss Thomas wore a pale blue voile gown and cream lace, with a black picture 
hat, and her flowers were pink roses. 

Mr. and Mrs. Upchurch went north on their wedding trip and returning, they 
will make their home on Washington street. 

Their marrige is a matter of cordial interest, since the bride is a young 
woman of many charms and a host of friends; and Mr. Upchurch, who holds a 
position with the business department of The Atlanta Georgian, is widely and 
pleasantly known.
